The Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form According to the Zodiac Sign
The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement across the fandom. From the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the game's release, to players developing firm opinions on the entire roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique appearances that emphasize their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes Aries much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Remain on the good side of both and benefit from a strong ally; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its regular and Super Form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the creature and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their position unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Many past official descriptions note their fondness for tasty sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is true Taurus energy.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Observe this total queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an constant stream of chatter to those who wish to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to foresee an opponent's future actions, which sounds very like a socially-savvy Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
The Crab is commonly regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign famous for often becoming absorbed in their feelings. According to the official info, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to create a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was going to select Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the purple sea star, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo brings to the scene. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be staging a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly judgmental is strongly reflected across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a plan.
Libra – Mega Audino
Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how people are emotionally by their pulse. Always compassionate – sometimes to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress more about others.
The Scorpion – Super Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic origin: Discarded as a doll, it became consciousness through sheer hatred and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves karma and retribution, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a show. Being a Archer personally, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly small entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who often consistently think they’re right. Interestingly, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-fire placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s double Spirit/Flame typing matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting aura is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
