The tall defender A constant threat at set pieces, per usual, could serve as a replacement to his teammate in the backline instead of his partner. One wayward ball in the second half almost led to a goal from the visitors. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly One more assured performance by the youngster after his initial appearance against Serbia. Saka did not capitalize on the most of a gorgeous touch over the Albania defence. The role looks secure already. 7

Adam Wharton His first start in an England shirt. A bit loose when playing out but his inswinging deliveries were a threat. An effective pace-controller available to the manager to have against sides that sit back. Cautioned for a rash tackle. Six

Declan Rice Set-pieces from dead balls and set-plays created chances. Enjoyed freedom to roam in left midfield yet found himself in an offside position when the ball arrived in front of goal. Awarded a deserved substitution on the hour mark. Six

Jude Bellingham Operated in a forward role out wide while also did plenty of the hard yards. Demonstrated moments of class and dragged an effort high. Withdrawn late on for Rogers, a fellow player, following a yellow card. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s clearest opportunity in the opening period, his shot smartly stopped by the Albanian keeper. With a teammate staying deep, he was forced to offer an outlet on the right yet his deliveries from wide areas varied in quality. Taken off late in the match. 6/10

The captain The decisive figure netting 77th and 78th finishes at international level. The first a trademark poacher’s finish and his next a superb headed goal after peeling away from his marker. At 32, his form is unwavering and England have every chance in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. Eight

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to get into the game on the left flank. Had a decent opportunity after being played in by Bellingham yet the keeper made the save. His replacement made much more of effect in his place. Five
