Beloved Star The actor Pat Finn, Known For Roles in The Middle and Friends, Has Died at the Age of Sixty.
American entertainer Pat Finn, who featured in beloved television series including Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has succumbed at the age of 60.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in LA recently after undergoing treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, according to reports.
"Pat Finn saw everyone as a friend - only friends he didn't know yet," his family said in a announcement.
They added that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".
An Extensive Television Career
His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.
He also had a repeating character on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He starred as a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a host famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.
Throughout the 90s and 2000s, he had guest spots on numerous hit series, like:
- "King of Queens"
- "Friends"
- "That '70s Show"
- House, M.D.
His most famous role for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.
His cinematic roles encompass It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Off-Screen Life
Outside of his on-screen roles, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was part of a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.
"He guided, supported, and advised numerous pupils over the years and it would be difficult to find anyone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.
Offering condolences, peer actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Always positive, making those around him better and funnier. An excellent dad and person," Kind wrote publicly.
Pat Finn is survived by his partner Donna, three children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
